Core Values

Our Core Values

We seek first and foremost to follow Jesus' instruction in Matthew 22:37 to LOVE GOD in all that we do. From this ideal flow all of our other values.

Love God

In Matthew 22:37 & 38, Jesus says, "You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. This is the great and first commandment." The guiding principle behind all undertakings of our church should be a love for God and an understanding of His Lordship.

Community

In verse 39 Jesus tells us a second, nearly equally important commandment is to "Love your neighbor as yourself." Jesus also teaches us in the parable of Good Samaritan that the term neighbor is not exclusive one. OUr community is not limited to those who it is easy or convenient to love or whose company we enjoy. We desire to build a community at Mosaic Church which reflects the love of Jesus to all those who need it, which provides a safe place for those broken or wounded to find rest and restoration through God's mercy, and which can withstand any attack or pressure brought upon it from without or within.

Diversity

A loving and nurturing community cannot exist unless it recognizes the value of diversity. At Mosaic, we see in God's creation a reich variety of ethnicities, cultures, callings, experience, education, and points of view. We value the uniqueness of each individual of God has brought to be apart of church and see to be a body that reflects the rich tapestry that God has woven upon the Earth. We pray that we would be a choir of many unique voices unified in the worship God the Father, Jesus Christ his son and the Holy Spirit.

Truth

In the society and times we live in, there are many voices all claiming to speak the truth and some who claim there is no one single or absolute truth. At Mosaic, we believe that there is one truth, namely that God created the universe and all within it, that He sent His Son Jesus to redeem fallen humanity, and that God has delivered this truth by divinely inspiring the authors of the Bible.
